Jonas Ersland (Oslo, 1991) is a visual artist based in Berlin and Norway. Working with programming and code as well as traditional videography, his work is located in the intersection between the analogue and the digital, using scenes from the ordinary which is then translated to a digital space through custom software.\n\nIn his work process he continuously switches between the physical and the digital, looking for conceptual or narrative forms of logic hidden in the ordinary which can only be observed through digital means. The result is a body of work exploring the 'digital supernormal'.
Personal Space is an ongoing series exploring the human silhouette in relation to its surroundings. The videos depict a clash of spaces – personal meeting public – contorting both the subject and the space they occupy.
