"In my heart, the meaning of freedom is to run wild across untamed lands with no notion anything exists beyond the moment I'm living. Hunting supercells across forgotten locations, places most people would consider flyover country, is full of those rare instances when time is as fleeting as a flash of lightning and as slow as the low rumble of thunder cascading from heaven to earth. Standing on the Kansas prairie, I watched this storm paint itself across the horizon with the vibrant colors of sunset. As it grew more and more electric, a massive bolt arced and twisted from the clouds, igniting the sky and landscape with a beauty that will forever take my breath away. In these wild spaces, the Plains teach me what it means to be wholly free."
